Since there was no school on Monday and I was out yesterday the homework for this week will be due on Monday.

Today in class we learned the true meanings behind some nursery rhymes. Each of the nursery rhymes are based on people, events and places in the middle ages. The students asked me to share this so they (and you!) could read them. We hope you enjoy but try not to be too scared! Nursery Rhyme Meanings
We learned about Newton's Three Laws of Motion. Law 1- An object at rest stays at rest. An object in motion stays in motion. This will only change when a Law 2- The more mass an object has, the more force needed to move it. Law 3- Every action has a reaction. We drew examples of where we see Newton's Laws of Motion in the real world. Where do you see and experience of Newton's Laws of Motion? In math class we worked on using thinking blocks to solve problems. You can practice addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with your child at home.
Thinking Blocks Website We have been learning all about the parts of castles. Our groups made our own castles and labeled the different parts. Check out the pictures of our fortresses! |
